I have a new nemesis in Portland. He’s a clean-cut looking guy—wears sensible jeans and heather gray t-shirts. He doesn’t know me (yet), but I know him. On a regular basis, I arrive at my favorite arcade to find him playing Ms. Pacman. He consistently posts a high score that is unbeatable under my current skill level. Now, I’m pretty damn good at Ms. Pacman. But just because I’m better than everyone I know doesn’t mean I’m anywhere close to the best in Portland. That’s why this guy is my nemesis, and it’s why he has to go down. I’m going to best his top score some day, and when I do, I’m going to make a public display of glory that will embarrass both of us.

Other than my quest for a better Ms. Pacman score (I’m still wavering just under 200,000), several projects are in the mix at the moment…a split 7″, a new EP, the De La Hoya discography and the Marathon last show video are all on my plate. This means that a lot of other people have these projects on their plates, too…which means we all have a lot of eating to do. In the meantime, I’m back in the Northwest and playing shows in the area. I’m also trying to branch out to Washington and California, so if you’ve got show for me to play, email me and we’ll work it out.
